Your locksmith tries to open the door without damaging the lock first, and only drills or replaces it if that fails, with your approval for the new lock and any extra time. Before opening a door, they ask for proof that you live there, such as ID with your address; if your documents are locked inside, they check them as soon as the door is open.

Changing the locks when you move in, fitting the locks your insurer asks for, repairing uPVC door mechanisms and fitting window locks. The lock is charged at cost with 0% added.
