Getting started
Joining, early access and a first booking
Type the job and your postcode into the search on the homepage, then pick a TEKTO VERIFIED tradesperson from the results. Each profile shows the tradesperson’s hourly rate, and you see the CNCT Service Fee before you confirm. When you book, the first hour and the fee are held in escrow, not charged, until the job is done.
A short film from TEKTO CNCT. The video loads from YouTube when you press play. No. Registering costs nothing, and you can look at profiles and prices before you commit to anything. You pay only when you book a job: the tradesperson’s hourly rate plus the CNCT Service Fee, both shown before you confirm. Your first three bookings carry zero platform fees.

Booking a job
What you can book, and when
Electrical work, handyman jobs and home cleaning are bookable across Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1–TN6, today. Plumbing and heating and the other trades open as tradespeople in them clear verification. The homepage catalogue shows which services are live and which are next.
Your tradesperson asks for your approval in the app before any extra time is added, and nothing is added without it. Approved time joins the booking total at the same hourly rate. Materials are charged at cost, with 0% added.

Payments and escrow
How money is held and released
No. Your payment is held in escrow when you confirm — including the first hour at the confirmed rate and the CNCT Service Fee. It is released when you enter your CNCT Code, after the work is done to your satisfaction.
An escrow provider — not TEKTO CNCT, and not the tradesperson. It is held from the moment you book until you confirm the job is done with your CNCT Code.
The six-digit code that releases your payment. When the work is done to your satisfaction you enter it to confirm the job is complete, and the escrow provider pays the tradesperson. Until then the money stays in escrow.
The payment stays in escrow. Nothing is released until you enter your CNCT Code, so take the time you need to check the work. If something is wrong, raise a concern within 3 hours of the job being marked complete and we resolve it while the money is still held.

Prices and fees
Rates, the Service Fee and commission
A fee TEKTO CNCT adds on top of your tradesperson’s hourly rate. You see it beside the rate before you confirm, it is held in escrow with the first hour, and it never comes out of the tradesperson’s price. The fee is [SERVICE FEE].
No. Materials are charged at cost, with 0% added, and neither TEKTO CNCT nor the tradesperson takes a cut of them. They are listed on the booking record beside the labour and any extra time you approved, so you can see what each part of the job cost.

Your account and records
Ratings, job records and documents
Every booking keeps its own record in the app: the tradesperson, the hourly rate, any extra time you approved, materials at cost, and the date the payment was released. The record stays in the app after the job is done.
Yes, once you have confirmed the job is done. Your rating and review go on the tradesperson’s profile, where other customers see them before they book. Ratings also help decide where a tradesperson appears in search results, so a fair review helps the next customer too.
